The Otter Vale Wild Camping

We have relocated,  We've only gone 1 mile down the road just the other side of the village, so the same views, same ethos.

The Otter Vale Wild Camping is based in 70 acres of East Devon Countryside. We have some mixed woodland,  meadows and a small pond. The idea of wild camping is to be able to see, hear and be at one with mother nature at her best.

The wood has bluebells and other wild flowers with many different residents - Badgers, Foxes, Deer, Rabbits, Squirrels, a variety of Birds and Bugs, all make this beautiful part of Devon their home.

We pride ourselves in offering a traditional relaxed campsite, you choose where to pitch up, tucked away or up on the top meadow to take it all in.

We have some stunning views and boast some of the most spectacular sunsets to sit back and enjoy.

Nestled in the Otter Valley which is part of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are within easy distance of the historic Jurassic coastline, Dartmoor and the beautiful city of Exeter.

Honiton is a historic town well known for its Lace making, an abundance of antique shops and an wonderful selection of quaint tea rooms.

There is space and freedom for children to explore and enjoy the environment around them. Within walking distance local villages have play areas.

We have some wonderful local public houses, which offer a variety of locally sourced food and beverages.

Each season brings its own delights, the spectacular show of bluebells in spring, to warm summer evenings watching the sun set over Dumpdon Hill. Black Berry picking from our hedge rows heading towards autumn, to which brings the most amazing array of wonderful colours throughout the valley.

Please note some of the pictures on here are of the old site, the woodland isn't as big on the new location but we do have a nature filled pond and lots of nooks to hide away in.
